About Me

Hi, I'm Victoria, a Medical Health & Wellness Writer. My mission is to use my writing skills and medical knowledge to support medical professionals in improving patient outcomes and to empower the general public to make better health decisions. I develop high-quality deliverables across various therapeutic areas, focusing on Oncology and Medical Education (MedEd). In addition, I have experience as an allied health care provider and a solid academic background with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature and a Master of Clinical Science (M.Cl.Sc.) in Applied Health Sciences.

Before I was a writer

Before embarking on my writing career, I worked as a Speech-Language Therapy Assistant (Communicative Disorders Assistant) for over three years, providing intervention to clients ages 2-92! During this time, I was fortunate to have the experience of working within both the private and public sectors. While I excelled in various therapeutic areas, my expertise was working with toddlers (many of whom were on the autism spectrum) to help them achieve their social communication goals.

My experience in healthcare settings and, especially, my face-to-face interactions with patients and their families give my writing a unique, compassionate touch. When writing for a patient-focused audience, I craft my content to be as inclusive, non-judgmental, and clear and concise as possible. Though my healthcare professional-focused content uses scientific terminology and follows strict formatting guidelines, my passion still shines through. I show this in my open communication style and dedication to you and the project while delivering structured and polished final products.

I can't wait to support you in moving healthcare forward!

And... before I was a Speech Therapist

During my undergraduate days, I competed on my school's Division II Women's Cross Country team. It involved a lot of early mornings, challenging workouts, and race-day determination, but I think it made me who I am today. I'm not afraid of a challenge, and I'll give it my best and persevere until I cross that finish line (or deadline!)
